Records show that prosecutions for counterfeiting and piracy are increasing at a record rate across the EU. Statistics show that Customs are seizing more pirate goods at borders that ever before.

Statistics published in October 2005 reveal that 103 million counterfeit items were seized by the EU during 2004 a 13% increase on 2003 and a 1000% increase on 1998!
